“There are few wild beasts more to be dreaded than a talking man with nothing to say.” - Jonathan Swift

From “Me Too, 365,” by Arnold Kunst

The 1848 Seneca Falls Convention for Women’s Rights, led by Lucretia mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, concluded with what was called “A Declaration of Sentiments.” Modeled on the Declaration of Independence, this ringing document was radical stuff indeed [‘… that all men and women are created equal…”]. The write-up in “The Oneida Whig” concluded with the following: "This bolt is the most shocking and unnatural incident ever recorded in the history of womanity. If our ladies will insist on voting and legislating, where, gentlemen, will be our dinners? Where our domestic firesides and the holes in our stockings?"
