Christ’s disciples wanted to stay forever in the moment of Transfiguration, right there on the mountain top. Of course, mountaintop moments can be life changing, but mountaintop moments don’t, can’t, last forever. Sooner or later you’ll need a quart of milk, you’ll want to sleep in your own bed.
