matter what you were born without, or how despairing the hand you’ve been
dealt, be assured you’ll get all of what counts by going at any one single
desire/purpose with breath-taking focus. In other words, you’re to pursue it
with the single-mindedness and persistence of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.
To change the metaphor, you’re to bloom where you’re planted, like a flower
blossoming incongruously at 14,000 feet on some sheer alpine rock face.
