I
wrote the following in my journal in 1978 when my children were four and one:
“I take great delight in the free expressions of my children as they unfold -
life-long blossoms exhibiting ever-new wonders, each a universe as multifarious
and beautiful as any external universe they grace with their wondering
attention. Innocent, thorough, simple - each of them a god, as Emerson says
somewhere, playing the fool.”
