“Lincoln 365,” by Arnold Kunst

“A child is a person who is going to carry on what you have started. He
is going to sit where you are sitting, and when you are gone attend to those
things you think are important. You may adopt all the policies you please, but
how they are carried out depends on him. He will assume control of your duties,
states and nations. He is going to move in and take over your churches,
schools, universities and corporations. The fate of humanity is in his hands.” -
Abraham Lincoln
“Teenagers are going through a ton of stuff you've almost certainly
forgotten and are probably glad you're finished with. Teens look like adults
and desperately want to be treated like adults, but can come up really short on
earning the right to be considered adults. They have built-in radar when it
comes to needling parents, giving new meaning to the term ”hair-trigger
temper.” They're going through a phase, but unlike, say, teething, this one is
destined to last for years. Oh, and they desperately need your love and
support, but would rather die than tell that to you, or thank you when you
offer it. That's just the way they're wired.
Be ready for it.” - Arnold Kunst
